News Round Up

We are delighted to be provided with the opportunity of pre training some really nice horses at the moment. Just yesterday the Scott Singleton trained Alluvion arrived at Aquagait to commence pre training.

The speedy daughter of Onemorenomore is a winner of 3 from 9 starts and was 4th in the Group 2 Sliver Shadow behind Omei Sword last August. After 2 impressive provincial wins she campaigned in Melbourne in the latter part of her spring prep, racing in the listed Crockett Stakes. Following this she has had some bone chips removed and is now working back up with us before returning to the stables of Scott Singleton. We wish Scott and part owner David Lopez all the best with her this time in.

Also in pre training with Aquagait is the very talented Clarry Conners trained galloper Dorf Star. A winner of 5 from 22 this Starcraft 4yo was able to string together 3 straight wins last prep, including 2 in a row at Warwick Farm. Dorfy, as we know him, has settled in really well at Aquagait and has taken to his work on the water walker like a seasoned pro. We are confident he is in for another good preparation.

Turning to Harness Racing and it has been great to see the ongoing success of many horses trained locally at Menangle Park who regularly use our water walker as part of their training regime.

David Thorn has enjoyed great success with recently acquired pacer Early Decision winning 2 of his last 3. As well, Outrageous El has been in great form for the stable winning 3 of his last 7 and a close up 4th in a group 2 race on Miracle Mile day.

King of the claimers Leon Jurd continues to enjoy a great season. Just about every horse in Leon's stable uses the water walker multiple times throughout the week and his ability to mentally freshen up aged horses and return them to winning form has been amazing. Jurd has trained over 40 winners already this season, with a further 70 placings all with modestly priced claimers. We appreciate Leon's ongoing support and admire his success at using our water walker to condition his horses.

We also want to congratulate the leading NSW training partnership of Shane & Lauren Tritton on the wins of Mysweetchilliphilly in the Group 1 Bathurst Gold Tiara and the Group 3 Pink Bonnet Stakes for 2yo fillies. Shane and Lauren have prepared this filly to the minute and use the water walker as part of her fast work and race day recovery. She was super impressive winning her maiden G1 by 20m at Bathurst in a mile rate of 1.54.7 and there is no doubt she will be featuring in some of the major futurity races later in the season.
